The Slip at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal overlooking Battery Park is a proposed indoor outdoor drinking establishment for commuters on their way to and from work. The idea is to “slip in”, have a few drinks and “slip out” via an integrated path that morphs from flooring, to seating, to bar counter height, similar to a ferry’s wake. The retractable glass roof offers an outdoor experience for summer weather and evening breezes that also expands the usable interior space for overflow or large gathering experiences.
