This 1,300 square foot craft beer store and bar with 340 square feet of rear yard outdoor space has been renovated in keeping with the raw and reclaimed vibe of Alphabet City. In doing so, found objects have been repurposed, such as an antique, gas chandelier to house replica Edison bulbs. Brick walls have been exposed and a reclaimed wood ceiling installed to enhance a cozy underground feel. The front of the space is utilized as a market for local bottled beers and light food fair, while the rear space houses the bar and custom-built 16’ long solid wood communal table.

This 4,600 square foot designer wedding dress showroom and work space is the perfect marriage of flexibility and elegance. The space is required to host both large and small industry fashion shows while keeping a minimal and clean backdrop for the display of couture wedding gowns. The simple white floating ceiling soffits define smaller spaces within the larger open showroom and are home to partially-recessed crystal chandeliers that create dramatic reflections on the polished black galaxy marble tile floors.
This full-service, post-production facility company specializes in independent films and documentaries and is dedicated to making their clients’ images look even better. The design incorporates a digital imagery lab adjacent to an executive screening room. Located adjacent to a fire station, the design required special attention to control the acoustical impact of passing sirens and busy city streets. This resulted in a streamlined, data-centric facility and an uninterrupted viewing experience of the latest features, promos, restorations and art films.
Combining two stories within a midtown brownstone created a home for this chic restaurant/bar/social business that encapsulates the energy and sophistication of midtown Manhattan.
This 1,700 sq.ft. brick oven pizza fast casual restaurant located at 16 West 41st Street in the Bryant Park District of Manhattan was designed to evoke a sense of community and sustainability. The artisanal farm-to-table fresh and healthy pizzas and salads are topped with herbs grown on site. Tomatoes and other fine ingredients are grown locally at Stone Bridge Farm, in Schuylerville NY, where state-of-the-art hydroponic technology is used. The restaurant design was an ekdnyc / Espacios Design Studio collaboration.
With the design of the second location at 100 Maiden Lane in the Financial District, Terri is an all vegetarian quick service restaurant serving delicious, organic super foods seasoned like familiar favorites. An expanded customer service area and two U-shaped bar seating areas flank a ramped entry. Given the proximity to the East River, the design accounted for future flooding similar to that experienced during Super Storm Sandy. Clean lines, a bright atmosphere and simple vibrant graphics help to support a menu packed with anti-oxidants, zero cholesterol and no artificial ingredients.
